Word of Mouth
_____________
This is a good time to stop and get back on track to building up good word of
mouth for you !
If you are an actor, have your friends come over and help you with your lines.
Not just one or two people, but all your close friends, let them be a part of
what you do to memorize your lines. This will do three things for you. One, it
will expose your craft to people that can see your artistic side to you, and
they will feel like they are helping you, and this will make them be excited
about talking about you. Two, this will put you in the publics eye if you are
doing this enough. Lastly, this will actually benefit you when you are actually
going over staging with other actors. You might not have that SAME person in
front of you on stage. That other person could easily lose there part and you
will already be adapted to change. SOOOOOO ! Practice with all of your friends,
and let them see your acting ability.
If your a writer, you should always make your writing available to friends. I
have three books that I put on line for all my friends to read and learn from. I
am building up my name and this is one way to accomplish just that. As a writer,
depending on what your writing, always ask for people's opinions. Unless your on
American Idol, no one is going to say you absolutely suck, however, as you get
better with what you are writing, your friends will be sure to let there friends
know that your writing is growing.
If your in a band, a film person, or in some type of showmanship routine
(comedy) invite people to your rehearsals every week. In a filming situation,
put together a team of movie testers and same for a band. Put together a group
of 20 kids that can be the first to witness what you got, and get there opinions
to determine how others might take what you have to offer. This alone creates
word of mouth.
