Trina on line with listeners in Miami

Internet Marketing
_______________

I started using internet marketing skills early in my career at 95.3 Party. While we were on the radio , we had segments like the Ez Entertainment, the crazy stuff you hear on the radio all the time, and of course we had DJ Skribble on the radio with us. When I built our little website, I used MP3 mixes on our site, pictures of the crew, and an events calendar that told people when and where we would be, so they could come out and hang with us. As our show  was growing we got the chance to go to Disney and do our show live from Downtown Disney. A few beautiful females approached me and my co - host and wanted to let us know that they had been to our site and that they loved our show. One of the girls said, " take a picture of me with you guys, and put it on your site, and I will tell everyone to go there and see it" I thought about this for a minute and a half, took the picture, and put it up on our site. DING DING DING

I realized, wow, we have all this product, we have a great show, and now we have a marketing tool. From that point on, whenever we were doing events, I would take pictures of us and listeners, and then tell them to come to our site the next day to see there pictures on line with us. After the first 1000 pictures were on line, we had 1000 - 2000 visitors that were coming to our site on a regular basis. We then collected e-mail addresses from these listeners to communicate future appearances, concerts, and station events.

This was the first form of direct internet marketing, and it worked very well. We had a way to market our product (our show) directly to the people that wanted to be a part of our show. During our first year on the air in Orlando, we created such a strong word of mouth perception of being a unique show on the radio dial, that to this day, listeners in Orlando still frequent the site of the station for up to date pictures, news, and information on the talent. As shown in the picture above, Trina came into the studio to do an interview on Power 96. After the interview we aired that 30 lucky listeners could sit in a chat room with Trina and hang out / ask questions.... All listeners had to do was e-mail us why they should be allowed to be in the Secret Trina Chat room. We had over 1000 e-mails, ( new leads for us ) and we had the start of a new way to promote artists on our show, station, and in general, put fun back into promotions using the internet
