Since I have already talked about the business cards enough, I will just tell
you that this little card can go a long long long way. It is the most common
form of networking that exists.
History was being made, " We Be Clubbin" was a smash in the club, and
made it on the radio right away. Don Parker had been listening to the station
and already knew how incredible the response was. The ripple effect is based on
the fact that Don was known as the " Golden Boy" in radio programming, and
program directors all over the country watched what he did and followed his
lead, especially in the markets close by like Tucson, etc..... The best
part was, Ice Cube made his way to Power 92 Radio the following Friday
unexpectedly. As he made his way to the studio, Mikey and the on air team
realized that the promise was made, and James was making good by bringing Ice
Cube in for the interview. To think this all started with a business card, a
phone call, and a few questions.. I will say that this is also due to having an
excellent street team, excellent supporters, and on point management for Ice
Cube. Everyone needs to be in sync with everyone you work around, work with, and
work to prove yourself to.
