You can start networking today by simply making a phone call ! Simple huh ? that is how networking starts...... If you are an actor, grab a news paper and read the section inside that lists the auditions..... call ! Call and introduce yourself, even if your 10 years old, call and say, " Hi my name is ________, I am a young up and coming actor, and I just wanted to ask you if you might have a role for children coming up in any of your productions, and how do I go about auditioning ? "
If your a model, call your local talent agencies and ask a
few questions, real simple. I always suggest to models that I meet to go to
their favorite store ( The Gap ) and ask where the home office is, then call the
home office and ask who the marketing director is and who chooses the models
they use in print. Net Work ! To introduce yourself to the people that are in
the business you want to be in.
Regardless of what it is you do, you are sure to find people in the field you
want to get into on the internet if you look for them, send e-mails, ask
questions and start a small network.
The tools you will need are simple, an e-mail address, a return phone number,
and possibly a business card. In the meantime, start getting your web site
together, even if it is a simple web site with a simple resume and bio of
yourself. Right in the introduction of this site I explain how to do this for

follow the steps.
