There are a few artists, writers, and entertainers that equal true success based on responsibility.

Rob Thomas ( Match Box 20 ) is an artist that lives up to being a responsible artist. Rob Thomas recently announced that he'll be donating a part of the proceeds from his American tour to a program that's replacing instruments and restoring music education programs in New Orleans to help re build music programs. This is a form of being responsible to a community of up and coming artists that will definitely benefit from Rob's sense of being responsible. He and his Matchbox Twenty band mates gave $200,000 to a similar effort in the wake of 911. Thomas went on record to say, "I specifically see a need to help re-establish music programs in schools affected by Hurricane Katrina, not only to replace instruments, but more importantly, music teachers who can help continue to groom generations of musicians who are so vital to rebuilding New Orleans, its infrastructure and its culture." 

Jessica Simpson also exemplifies the act of a responsible artist. Regardless of how the media tries to portray her, Jessica Simpson installs the sense of responsibility to her younger audience with her morals she carries through her dilemma. As you may have noticed over the past 3 years, while the whole media circus has stories running around about Nick Lachey and his story telling..., Jessica has remained silent, and refuses to add into all of the circus hype about her relationship. In past interviews Jessica has even made it a point to talk directly to the young girls that look up to her, and she always tries to send out good messages. I commend her on her ability to pick up and move forward through a media circus that normally gets artists caught up. 

1. Can you tell young up and coming potential artists who you really are ? Who is Jessica Simpson ?

That I am just like you, I'm a normal person, I like to go to Blockbuster and rent movies, I'm not just some diva queen, I enjoy going to movies, eating out, talking to my fans, hanging with my friends, just being normal.

2. In being a positive role model for young women that look up to you, is it true that you choose to stay a virgin, can you elaborate ?

Yes it is very true, it's not like a religious thing, I am a huge romantic and it is something I want to give to my husband one day

Being a responsible artist should be the goal and something you should aim to do daily. Bruce Springsteen is another artist that strives for positivism and change...........
