This is another fun part of this book " Making It" where everyday on air talents tell you their story. They are telling you like it is in Radio Broadcasting. It's a behind the scenes look into the on air studio. Now you get to see things from an Air Talent's perspective, real true to heart advice, and a look at the real work you will be doing in Radio Broadcasting........

Starting things off is  ( drum roll )

Hey ! My name is Sarah Brown, I'm "part time" working full time! (as always in radio!) I voice track overnights, I am live on the weekends, and I do promotions during the week. I've worked at KTTS for the last 4 years, worked part time at KGMY for a year before that, and before that, did miscellaneous jobs at several other, small stations. If you are truly wanting to make it in this business, their you need to truly enjoy and live the format of music you want to work around! If you don't live it, your listeners will be able to tell and that is not fair to loyal listeners! Be true, be yourself, and most of all, have fun with it! Like one of my bosses told me one time, "if you're having fun, the listener is having fun too and that's why their listening- Is to make that connection, to have that friend! with out that connection, that personality, you're just like any other jock! But, nobody else can be you."
