networking is the way of the future, as it is the way of
today.
This might just be the most universal chapter in this entire E - Book, simply
because no matter what you do in this business, networking to promote, is the
most important key to success. Never more than ever before has it been easier to
network with professionals in the broadcasting field. Just like the music business, it doesn't matter
how talented of an artist you are, if nobody really knows you, right ? Networking starts the very first day you enter
into an internship, and actually it started when you picked up the phone to call
for information. It is safe to say that the better you become at networking, the
more doors you will notice opening in your pathway. You have heard countless
people in this book talk about ( NETWORKING ) and in this chapter I will try and
help you explore fun things you can do, ideas, and even some things I have done.
Over the course of the past
5 years, networking and promoting yourself have become universal elements both
on and off line VIA technology. People stay in touch on AOL, Yahoo, Side Kicks,
and e-mail in a matter of seconds, so there is no reason for an excuse as to
why you can't keep in touch with the people you meet. No matter what position
you hold in the Entertainment Business, the people you meet and grow
relationships with can be the ultimate factor in where you work, your
opportunities, and meeting your life goals. And now with My Space, you can
grow even closer to the radio community.
