You may read funny stories about how unique some packages were presented. I once read about an air talent that built a tiny toilet with an old used cell phone glued on the side and his CD attached to the bottom of the toilet seat with a picture of him in the toilet. The note in the package read, 

I might look like sh*t, but I hope you don't think I sound like sh*t, either way I have enclosed a phone for you to call me and let me know. Needless to say, he got a call and eventually got the job. The Entertainment Business is a business built on talent, innovative thinking, creative acuteness, and attentiveness to the fine details laid out by the higher powers that may be, but the ultimate goal at the end of the day is to have a smile on your face. This is something you have to create as well. 
You are almost ready to send your package out.......

There is one last element you might have to add before you seal the envelope and send your package out. If you are trying to break into the Programming side of radio ( IE an Assistant  Music Director - Music Director - Assistant Program Director - Research Director - Production Director - or even a Program Director ), you might be asked to have a philosophy as to how you view Radio Broadcasting. Since the next chapter is Programming and a Radio Philosophy breaks down the elements that make up a great Programming team, I will kick off the Programming chapter with a philosophy that I have gathered over the past 8 years in radio.
