Some things tie your life together .. Slender threads with things to treasure ... days like this should last and last....and last
David Hamilton, also known as "Ez", was born in the mid-west and grew up in Milwaukee / North Chicago, and LA, California. Ez studied music and theatre since the age 6 ( oshgoshbagosh kid ) acting in children's plays, theatre community projects, school functions, youth functions, and professional theatre, as well as playing field percussion in a a drum and bugle corp, and then of course the piano and percussion. Just the background in music alone, and art has sculpted an all around creative individual. Being a true musician, Ez's favorite musicians are respectively, Ernie Adams, Hip Hop artists galore, all of them, Tupac to Young Buck.....groups..... The Beatles ... Cold Play, Dashboard Confessional, and the soothing sounds of Sarah Mclachlan / Enya. Ez grew up listening to The Beastie Boys, The Beatles, Nirvana, with a twist of musical influence, such as Duke Ellington, Chick Korea, Miles Davis, Ernie Adams, and an array of Hip Hop / Jazz Influence. This musical array also played a growth as Ez marched with the Drum Corps such as Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps, The Guardsmen Drum and Bugle Corps, The Bluecoats ( briefly ), and The Northern Aurora Drum and Bugle Corps where he got an early musical education touring around the country. David (Ez) auditioned for MHSA ( School of the Arts ) and studied under the wings of Mr. Gribble, one of Milwaukee's premier jazz teachers / coaches in Milwaukee music history. Also during this growing time, E was an extra for presentations and participated in " The Miracle Worker (children's play theatre)", "Mid Summer Nights Dream", and " Guys and Dolls " ... While playing with area groups, David also studied production at various studios. During the summers Ez spent his learning time in Agoura Hills Ca. ( WeHo) West Hollywood writers groups, and SMP .... santa Monica Players ! and touring the country with musical groups. Also, during these teen years David's long time close family friends and mentors The Wild Child Hamilton, and Hollywood Hamilton took part in training and molding Ez into a young artistic on air talent at radio stations such as B-96 Chicago, and Kiis FM, LA. Also while out west, Ez networked with Maurice Devoe and Harold Austin ( 92.3 The Beat ) which led to getting an extensive understanding about Urban radio.
(P Director) Tony Fields gave Ez his first show and was also put in charge of being a research and promotions assistant to David Michaels and Bailey Coleman (PD) of V-100 Radio in Milwaukee, Wi. at the age of 17 yrs ....Tony Fields named him, and Ez Street was born. Ez created a winning research department, helped create a winning promotions department under Bailey Coleman, and found and trained his first team of interns he helped mold, all while creating an award winning presentation on the air which lasted 5 years / and 4 years as a number 1 rated night talent. During this same time frame, E studied business classes at both MATC and Columbia marketing Chicago. Ez got a glance of how marketing worked into radio, and he learned the importance of community and relations between he and his listeners which helped solidify him as a solid talent by promoting and marketing community services.
This career advancement mentally led to working for The Golden Boy... Don Parker, at Power 92 Phoenix; on a staff of brilliant personalities, known for spawning talent like Danny Bonaduce,..... The staff, Bruce Kelly, Co Co Cortez, Mikey Freeman, Big WIllie, Rick Vaughn, and Julian; were the very 1st team in the radio station's history to reach #1 ... over all ...in the Phoenix market under the call letters KKFR. It was during these early radio days in the Mid West and the West Coast where David picked up the camera and took pictures of all of his radio experiences. Ez was known for always being the one that would be there to capture the (stuff) and was helping construct station web sites and taking pictures and video footage of all major and minor events that hosted major artists.
After 2 years in the Phoenix Sun, Ez was hired by Phil Michaels Trueba to do a night show in Orlando. This would spawn new talents that David found and trained, such as (Lil Shawn ) currently in (mornings Orlando ) , Pudgy, and incorporated DJ Magic Mike, DJ Skribble (MTV), and an incredible night show in Orlando to say the least. After winning in Orlando, next stop ... Miami. Kid Curry was next to hire Ez to Miami, where he put on a night show with an intern side kick, Lucy Lopez ( currently on afternoons in Miami ). Miami radio gave Ez the perfect opportunity to network with artists and continue to grow as well..... Ez found it a compelling time to network with South Beach artists galore, from models to music heads like Jennifer Lopez, Trick Daddy, Trina, Mike Hopkins ( Slip n Slide )etc..... and this was another great atmosphere for him to improve in photography with the art deco movement in his life. During the Miami experience Ez was able to capture a new style of artistic nature on canvas, photograph, and transpire his abilities on air in transformation as well.... As far as growth, Ez was able to lock down interviews with the top dogs, Eminem, Suge Knight, Shakira, J-Lo, etc......
During these few years, David ( Ez ) worked with MTV Casting - MTV - and Music Works doing photography, promotions, and marketing.... under the one and only, Mike Petalino.....being published with photography in Hit Makers and All Access, this gave David a chance to share great artist memories from concerts, interviews, and meet -n- greets. It was these (2 1/2 years that helped solidify and grow what would be House Of Style Productions.
Heading back West.......Ez
got involved with The Red Cross on the fraud investigation team during
Hurrican Katrina, and
helped get Hurricane Katrina victims support. Ez also worked hand in
hand with Western Union to help recover $1000's of dollars in funds that
would have gone to fruad..... Working with The Red Cross was
one of the highlights of Ez's career in radio, it helped define what
real community service was really about. During a time of crisis Ez
learned how to use his spare time to help the less fortunate, and the
impact of The Red Cross experience will last a lifetime.
Touring around the country helped mold a well rounded artistic being.
David Hamilton grew as an on air talent, artist in music, and
photography. This was also a time when David was working with
multi-media corporations such as Warner - Universal - and Disney as a
marketing photographer. David's passion for artistic nature and
marketing was a great fit to take on responsibilities for companies such
as Window Shoppers, where his work was published for companies in the
movie theatre business.
The next journey is in progress. Ez is now working with and for Maurice
Devoe, someone he looked up to as a kid starting out in the business.
Ez spent his early years in LA listening to who is now his employer. You can
now hear Ez on 95.7 The Vibe - Kansas City, Mo. and nationally on
Hollywood Hamilton's Weekend Top 30. Throughout Ez's career of stellar
interviews with artists like Notorious Big, 2-Pac, etc... Ez was also
notorious for producing video and loving photography in all realms of
capturing that memory. Ez was known for having a camera at
all of the station events for artists, special events, and sneaking
candid pictures of crazy staff members ... just to piss em off........
This led to David Hamilton Photography which is featured at
www.ezstreetrecords.com/models.htm and the beginning stages of
House Of Style Productions,
which said idea came from David's MTV experiences in the 2000-2004
taking pictures and doing promo work for the casting teams responsible
for MTV in the Keys.
Dedicated to
being positive in the community David started writing the books "
Making It " free e- on line books geared to help young up and coming
talent gain knowledge from the professionals in and around the businesses
the books targeted. " Making It " ~w~ Knowledge, Wisdom, and

and Next to come will be " Making it " The Entertainment Edition
which is a compilation of artist interviews and teachings from 8 years in
Major Market Radio, the interviews, and the experience.
The year 2006 brought a
brand new forum called the "
The Write Up "
which was developed by Ez to help support up and coming talent that are found
while touring. The columns are written by up and coming talent found by
DH, including Jowita who writes about styles and
fashions in the G Spot, a new forum called the " The Garage "
written by a hot up and coming talent " KK " and more writers to come.
The latest development and innovative mind of Ez is a new source for people to get their resume for free (

site was created by DH to help unemployed people who need a
professional resume to DL a shell created by Ez, and then fill
in the blanks to produce their own Professional Resume, (

During David's radio stints, interviews from some of the most talented musicians and entertainment industry leaders were recorded and written to later be written in a book to help young up and coming artists. This book has come to life... David Hamilton's free e- on line book called "Making It" is dedicated to inspiring young and up and coming talent of all forms, to learn from entertainment industry leaders. The Entertainment Industry is hard to break into and the industry leaders such as Joel Denver ( President of All Access, and Steve Smith, along with a huge following of artists have offered plenty of advice and information. Information is power and seems expensive and hard to come by, so David wanted to write a free book that any one could read and learn from. Click here to read the project in development. To each one teach one, because without god and the creative minds that prosper, none of this would be possible.
