Borat 

• Borat is being called the most hilarious movie of the year. I am not so sure it is the MOST hilarious movie of the year, maybe the most ( stupid kinda humor ) movie of the year. At times the comedy is predictable. There are scenes in the movie where Borat is trying to pick up ( ghetto ) style from African Americans, which brings a chuckle. There is also a new language being formed for you to laugh at - Sexy Time = SEX etc......  Critics had a field day getting you prepared for Borat. The Chicago Tribune said "Borat is a rarity  a comedy whose middle name is danger," and you sense danger within the compounds of the comedy that derives from all the wrong moves Borat makes on his way to California. Another publication, The Village Voice says that "indeed, the man who invented 'Borat' is a masterful improviser, brilliant comedian, courageous political satirist, and genuinely experimental film artist. 'Borat' makes you laugh but star Sacha Baron Cohen forces you to think." As I say to people when they ask me, Borat still makes you laugh in a funny way. This is why Variety calls Borat an "uproariously funny mockumentary." The critics for Variety write on all of the movies, and they usually get em right, and in this case, they are right on target.  Since this is my views and not crits..... I will just say this, if you like stupid funny movies that degrate while they bring out humor, then you will love this movie. If you are 100% against someone taking stabs at Jews, gays, and naked men rolling around with each other, than you should skip this movie and peep out Garfield or something a little more subtle.
